Game Ranger...Part 2

So now you have installed game ranger and this tutorial will give you a idea about the functions of game ranger..
Although u installed game ranger and you need to play the game you can not.because you have not added the game to Game ranger and software does not no which game you need to play,because it consists of many servers of different games..therefore first you have to add the game to game ranger..

Follow the steps..

• Open game ranger and go to Edit >Options
  

• It opens a dialog box and you can see number of games on the left hand side(By default you are on Game tab)You have to select Call of Duty 4:Modern wafare from that list and from the right side browse the game location.Give the path to iw3mp.
  

         

• If you need to change other options like sound and appearance you can choose the tabs above and change them.After adding the game simply close the dialog box..
• Now you can play the game via game ranger but you can see many other game servers on the serer list.You can filter only cod4 servers from this list.Go to All games drop down menu and select New Group.
  

• Then from the dialog box give a name to the group(It may be cod4 servers or ay name you like)and select the game by scrolling down..
  
  
  

• Then click ok.Now you will see only cod4 servers on your game ranger software.
  

Ok now it is done..Think that you need to change your nick name..Where you have to go???

• Go to Edit again and then you can see,you can change your email,password if you need.To change your nickname,click on User Profile.
  

• Only you can change your nick name and real name.If you need the other options like add a photo and all you have to purchase this software.
  

So what is the seperate part on the right hand side by the heading Friends???

This software is not only for play games online.But also you can chat with the other players online.You can add friends to the friends box..

• Click on the Add Friend button on the bottom of the box..
  

• Then it will open a dialog box.You can search for friends using nickname,email or by account ID.(This method is useful if you no one of those things) 
  

• Now I'm going to add one of my friends.I will search him by his nickname.
  

• Nickname was v@mp!r3(That is how he has spelled the nickname) and I got 4 search results.If you can not find the him go to Show Info o right side which will show you his country,real name and some other details.then click Add Friend.
  
  
  

• Now you have one friend in the box.If you need more,you can also add them when they are in a server room..Right click on a server and choose Show Game Info.
  

• Then you can see players in that room.Right click on a player name ad choose Add to Friends
  

I added set of friends to my friend box...

Now you will have a problem..What is the filled green ball infront of the friends names..

Filled green color-Tells you,that player is playing the game.

Hollow green color ball-Tells you,that player is in a game room but still he is not playing the game.

Others-They just have logged in to game ranger.

How can we find weather all my friends are online or not??

When you add some friends to the box and when you have online and offline friends.It will automatically shows you them by dividing the box in to two. (Most of the time you are logging in to game ranger next time)

How to remove a friend??

Right click on the friend and you will see set of options.

How to chat with a friend??

Right click on that fiend..you can see a option Send a message,or simply just double click on that friend,you will get a chat box.Just type your message and Enter..
